# Editing an Automated Email – Sending to a Different Module Role (E.g. Risk Manager) (Trigger)

This article shows you how to send a trigger's email to a different role, for example the Risk Managers instead of the Risk Admins.

> **Applies to:** System administrators (`admin` role) · **Module:** Set up > Triggers

## Opening the Trigger

1. Click the **Set up** spanner at the bottom left of the screen.

2. In the Set up menu, under **Events**, click **Triggers**.

3. Type part of the name in the **Name** filter box (for example `register-risks`), then click the trigger you want to change.

## Editing the Manager Interceptor

The **manager** card in the **ƒ chain** panel decides which role receives the email. In this example it sends to **risk_admin**.

1. Click the **Role** dropdown and type to search, for example `risk_man`.
2. Choose the new role, for example **risk_manager**.

You can choose any role, not only roles from the same module.

> **Note:** The template must use the manager code on its `To:` or `Cc:` line for this to have any effect: `{{<generic/owners}}{{<manager}}{{sm.user/name}}, {{>manager}}{{>generic/owners}}`. The manager interceptor finds the users with that role, starting from the user field set in **Attribute** (usually the record's Owners).

> **Note:** To email two roles, add a second **manager** interceptor with the other role.

## Saving the Changes

1. Click **Save** at the top right.

The next time the trigger fires, it emails users with the new role.
