What to expect the first time you sign in to Symbiant, and where to find things once you’re in.
Applies to: New users
Before You Start #
Your Symbiant administrator sets up your account. When they do, you receive a welcome email with your site address and sign-in details.
- Your site address ends in .symbiant.cloud. Bookmark the main address, not a page inside the system.
- The password in the welcome email is temporary and expires after a while. If it has expired, use Forgot your password? on the sign-in page. See Resetting your Password.
- If the welcome email hasn’t arrived, check your junk folder. See Login Issues.
Note: If your company uses its own login (SAML single sign-on), you sign in with your work account instead of a Symbiant password.
Signing In #
- Go to your site address.
- Enter your Email (1) and Password (2).
- Click Sign in (3).

If you’ve forgotten your password, click Forgot your password? under the Password box. See Resetting your Password.
If you’re signing in with a temporary password, you may be asked to choose a new password before you continue.
What You’ll See #
After signing in, Symbiant opens on a module’s dashboard.
- The left-hand menu (1) lists the modules you have access to. Click a module to open it.
- The dashboard (2) shows the module’s charts and its records.
- At the bottom left (3) are your name, Help (opens this knowledge base), Hide Menu (hides the left-hand menu) and Sign out. Administrators see Set up in place of Hide Menu.

Tip: You only see the modules and records your role and divisions allow. If something you need is missing, ask your Symbiant administrator.
Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication #
Click your name at the bottom left to open your account details. From there you can set up two-factor authentication with an authenticator app. See Multi-Factor Authentication (Google Authenticator).
